Behind Purple Eyes is written for women who are sick and tired of sitting on second row. It’s the first single of an EP that will look at the impact of the male gaze and the internalization of feelings in women. Growing up with brothers showed me a clear distinction between how boys were treated differently and how that affected the woman I came to be.

The direction I chose to go in, was NOT going to be: playing with my acoustic guitar. Arranging Behind Purple Eyes on purpose with a electric guitar, trying to get away from the cutesy and sweet of a singer songwriter, helped me to step a little more towards the Rock lover I am. That means this song has a bit more rock vibes with alternative influences like one could find in a Volbeat song or perhaps even a Powerwolf song. It’s dark, gloming, with heavy guitars. A solid drum and grooving bass. Hell, I even managed to play a solo on my purple Jackson Shadowcaster!

Shadowcasting shady – Guitarist

Guitars hold a special place in my heart. My aunt started that when I was very little. I was so mesmerized by her acoustic Fender dreadnought. It’s sound hypnotized me. At eight years old I got to play it to see if guitar playing was for me. At fourteen I bought my first very own electric guitar and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Music Production – Producer

Ever since I took my first breath I’ve been busy with making music. To quote my mom: “Your crying sounded like singing” and I’ve been singing ever since. Different tones, noises and rhythms have always intrigued me. Now I am putting this to use as a start-out producer.
